No Big Guys Policy

DaveGPT Records does not automatically take ownership of your music, masters, compositions, publishing or artist brand. Rights remain with the artist unless a separate written agreement explicitly states otherwise.

Your first year has no upfront label fee. Instead, DaveGPT Records receives agreed percentages from income generated through the services covered by your artist agreement.

Percentages, rights, services, expenses and revenue definitions are set out individually in writing. This website is a summary and does not replace the artist agreement.

To distribute, stream, sell or promote music, we use only the rights and permissions set out in the artist agreement. Ownership is not transferred automatically.

Sync placements (film, TV, ads, games) are always artist-approved on a per-placement basis. We do not pre-clear your catalogue to third parties.

DaveGPT Records will not sell your rights, catalogue, data or contact details to a major label, private-equity roll-up, ad network or AI training company. If we're ever approached with a majors-style acquisition offer, artists get first refusal and can walk with their full rights intact.

We keep our halo low. Independent, artist-first, forever.

We only collect the data needed to pay you, ship merch and process purchases. Listener emails are used for order confirmations and your own release newsletters — never sold, never handed to third-party ad networks.

Either side can end the arrangement with 30 days' notice. On exit: your masters go with you, your public release pages can be redirected to your own site, and unpaid earnings are settled within one payout cycle.
